Originally built as Addison & Northern Pennsylvania, (3-foot narrow gauge). Opened Dec. 1, 1883. Later standard gauged. To the B&S in 1901. Sold to the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad in 1932, who in turn sold to the newly-organized Wellsville, Addison & Galeton Railroad in 1955. Abandonments Addison to Elkland abandoned 1960. Elkland to Nichols abandoned 1963. Passenger service, Addison to Galeton, discontinued Nov. 19, 1949. |
